{pretty, happy, funny, real} ~ Hong Kong edition!

~ Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~

Every Thursday, here at Like Mother, Like Daughter!

{pretty}

It can now be told... we went to Hong Kong! Already behind in my intention to post about sofas, and writing, and all sorts of things, I complicated it all by this drastic travel move. Twelve days of visiting with...

 ... this darling!

{happy}

Although I'm still a bit dazed from the flight, I will attempt to go through my photos and come up with some sort of coherent narrative for you.

The theme, though, is FRANCIS!!

He is just wonderful. (You can't imagine how much sight-seeing this child does. He's Nick and Natasha's baby. It's in his blood to do at least three exhausting things a day. And be content.)

{funny}

What are the odds that, on the other side of the world, at Mass in a cathedral full of people in a busy city of seven million people, you run into neighbors from back home?

Sue looks Chinese all right, but she's American and making the best of her husband's years' long, "temporary" relocation for work to China.

It was a blessing to see them!

  {(not) real}

I have so much to tell you, but one little funny thing is going down the flower street in Kowloon, Bridget's eye was caught by this enormous lotus.

It dawned on us eventually that it, unlike all the other flowers as far as the eye could see, was not real.
