A productive afternoon

Yesterday I crossed about six things off my to-do list, which felt really good. While deep-cleaning our bedroom, I found a new home for my fabric stash:

Actually, two of those baskets have Sukie's crafty things in them, and don't worry, Suker - we should have plenty of room for your stash, too (until we get more books and/or fabric).

An exciting side effect of this accomplishment is it means that now I can push the chair in under my desk!

Notice the beautiful mosaic (which now has a home - Sukie, does that look like a good spot to you?):

Then... I made pita bread!

There's nothing like making pita bread to give you a great sense of accomplishment. I used this recipe, except I didn't have any wheat flour (or high-gluten flour, for that matter), so I ignored that part.

The best part is that I still had time to make an appetizer and arrive only half an hour late for the Trinity fundraiser that was last night! Not bad, wouldn't you agree?

pink and green baby quilt

Here is this little quilt I made in the past few weeks...trying to get a pink and green vibe going, pulling things out of the stash...

The things that inspired me are these:

From a Japanese crafting book:

From Tree Fall:

From A Ervilha Cor de Rosa:

[By the way, check out today's post (March 4) about the bread bag she made. First, I love it. Second, when you translate this site from Portuguese (the button to do so is at the end of the post) it's not only hilarious but completely incomprehensible. ]

I don't know if I got somewhere in their color-choosing modern sensibility scrappy universe, but it's a first attempt.
